ZelEn was a natural choice for dm because by using 100 percent of electricity from renewable sources, we will further reduce the impact of our business operations on the environment. In addition to the direct reduction of CO2 emissions, we will thus reconfirm that the development which meets our needs without jeopardizing the needs of future generations can only be ensured by togetherness and the awareness that every step towards creating a more sustainable future is important. We are proud to be part of this unique green story that allows dm to continue its long-standing path towards an even more sustainable use of natural resources in all aspects of our business.

Business decisions passed by Calzedonia Group since its establishment have been ethically correct.
Today, even more than before, thic company is trying to improve and stimulate such decisions so as to reduce our impact on the surrounding environment as much as possible and, where possible, improve social and environment conditions in which we operate. In October 2019 Calzedonia became a signatory of a joint document titled the Fashion Pact - a coalition of 56 major fashion companies committed to focusing this sector on the long-term sustainable operations.​ One of the objectives specified in the Fashion Pact document is the obligation on our part to use 50% of renewable energy sources in conducting all our activities until 2025 i.e. 100% of RES until 2030.

UNIQA was the first underwriter in Croatia which joined the ZelEn project, of which we are exceptionally proud. HEP's ZelEn project complements our green business strategy aimed at raising awareness of environment protection and CO2 reduction. It is a part of our corporate responsibility by means of which we also nurture the values of nature protection. Cash generated from the sale of ZelEn is collected in a fund used for financing RES and EE projects for the needs of institutions working with socially vulnerable categories of population, which represents this project's added value.
