What is ZelEn?

Hep Opskrba was first to offer a unique product of ZelEn on the electricity market in the Republic of Croatia. Electricity used by ZelEn customers is generated solely from renewable sources, which is proven by retiring a sufficient number of guarantees of origin in the Registry of Guarantees of Origin managed by the Croatian Electricity Market Operator (HROTE).

All ZelEn customers can use a protected ZelEn mark on their promotional materials and products.

Who can buy ZelEn?

ZelEn is offered only to entrepreneurial customers. We are planning to offer it to household customers as soon as possible.

Why would a company choose ZelEn instead of “regular electricity”?

There is a number of companies in the Croatian market that are socially responsible and environmentally aware, and now they have an opportunity to use energy received exclusively from renewable sources. Along with that, we believe that Croatian consumers will know how to award the companies that care about the environment, and in the future this care will be proven with the protected ZelEn mark.

How do you know that the energy used is in fact energy from renewable sources?

What is the price for ZelEn energy?

The price of ZelEn is determined by the market at the time of contract signing.

Weren't companies already giving a certain fee for renewable sources?

A separate amount on the electricity bill. Now, it is 0,013936 EUR/kWh + VAT.

The supplier assumes the obligation of submitting the funds collected from the fee for promoting RES to the Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE), which uses them for paying the feed-in tariff to eligible producers for supplied electricity pursuant to provisions of the tariff system for the production of electricity from RES and cogeneration.
